This week on social media we talked about fun things a teenager can enjoy outdoors or indoors during Spring. This is the complete list we came up with and shared on our social media accounts this month. However, by no means, is this list all-inclusive.
Picnic in the Park
Sometimes this is underrated. During spring when the grass is green, and the flowers are colorful, packing a lunch and heading to the park for a picnic is just what’s needed. Changing environment is good for the soul.
Create a Spring Journal
Journaling can be therapeutic. Sitting down with a pen and paper, or laptop, and giving yourself permission to express your emotions with this outlet often times gives you an insight about yourself that you may not have otherwise known was there. You don’t have to write a lot. You can even write one sentence. But I guarantee that over time, you’ll want to write more.
Start a Windowsill Garden
Gardening has been known to help with stress and teach patience. As you watch the birth of your seeds blossom into a plant, a flower or a fresh herb, there’s always a sense of pride that one will experience. It gives teenagers something to care for outside of themselves.
Start a low to no cost business
Learning about business starts with the first time you mow a lawn or babysit. The first time you’re handed money for a job that you completed will be the first lessons that will start your business mindset. What should you do with the money? Should you reinvest? Do you pay taxes? The more you know, the better you will be as an adult. Besides, why not turn your hobby into a business. Here are a few business ideas for teenagers:
- Write a book and publish it on Amazon
- Love to do graphics? Start a logo business or a banner business for social media
- Web design
- Babysitting
- Gardening Service
- Create and sell crafts
- Car Wash Service
- Take pictures and sell them online
